My wife Jennifer and I purchased our first home 4 years ago and used a mortgage broker who was recommended to us by a friend. He did a decent job - we got a decent rate, he got us through the confusing process reasonably well and the only negative was a couple of fees at the end that we didn't expect. For our next home, we used Chris and at the end of the process, Chris made the first mortgage broker look like an amateur.

At the outset, Chris brought us into his office and went through all of the issues regarding pricing, rates, broke everything down and made us feel like we were getting the very best loan rate and term for our own financial situation. Over the next 6 weeks, Chris kept in constant contact with us, guiding us through the still confusing process of buying a home and financing a loan. There wasn't a single time during escrow that either Jennifer or myself felt like we needed answers and we couldn't get ahold of Chris (and I've talked to enough home buyers to know that is VERY RARE for busy mortgage bankers). Perhaps best of all, Chris worked extremely well with our real estate agent, who he had never previously met or worked with -- this was awesome because we felt as if we had a professional team working for our interests and making the buying of our home as pain-free as possible.

There are very few professionals that Jennifer and I can recommend without any qualms or reservations. Chris is one of these. He did his job exactly as you wish all professionals did -- with fantastic knowledge, wonderful attention to detail and great professionalism. Chris also adds a sense of humor and always makes you feel comfortable -- very important during the tough and stressful period of buying a home!

Chris' personality is the reason why we went with him instead of the National Bank of Kansas, our other option we seriously considered through our lending tree application. He always made us feel comfortable with the purchase, and answered all of my questions with complete honesty. I never once felt he was trying to "trick" us or anything like that; he was frank the entire time, and because of that, he earned my trust very, very early.
